Obituary
SALUDA –
Joe Walter Hipp, Jr., 65, of Saluda, passed away, Wednesday morning, June 26, 2024, at the Elizabeth House in Flat Rock.
A native and lifelong resident of Saluda, Joe was the son of the late Joe "Pete" Walter Hipp, Sr. and Shirley Waters Hipp and husband of the late Pamela Bland Hipp. Joe worked his entire career in the Asphalt industry. Joe was a jack of all trades and loved NASCAR.
Surviving is one son, Josh Hipp of Hendersonville; one stepson, Jodi Jones of Flat Rock; one sister, Leisa H. Howard of Myrtle Beach; two brothers, Lloyd "Cub" Hipp (Barbara) of Saluda and Jerry "Monk" Hipp of Saluda. Also surviving are two grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
A private family service will be held.
