Jetsy Gail Taylor Bungener, 70, of 5202 Verde Vista Circle, Asheville, NC died Saturday, December 14, 2013 at her home. Born in Polk County, NC, she was the daughter of Maxine Capps Thomas of Spartanburg, SC and Robert Taylor of Fletcher, NC. Married twenty-five years, she was the widow of Jakobus Bungener who died in 2011. She moved to Leicester, NC in 2011 from Little River, SC. Mrs. Bungener was a floral designer for many years and enjoyed fishing. She was a member of Faith Wesleyan Church, Little River, SC. Surviving in addition to her mother and father are her step-father, William H. Thomas of Spartanburg, SC; two sons, Tony Sexton (Christy) of North Myrtle Beach, SC and Carroll Sexton of Asheville, NC; two daughters, Teressa Gamble (Bill) of Asheville, NC and Katie Petty of Asheville, NC. Also surviving are two grandchildren, Hayes and Hayden Sexton. Graveside services will be held 2:00 pm Monday, December 16, 2013 in Polk Memorial Gardens, Columbus, NC with Mr. Ken Frye officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1:45 p.m. just prior to the service Monday in the McFarland Funeral Chapel, Tryon, NC.
