Saluda, NC -- Jessie Pearson Short, 84, formerly of Saluda, NC died April 10, 2009 in Columbia, SC.Surviving include one son, Lawrence Jeff Short of Charlotte, NC; one daughter, Emily Short of Saluda, SC. One brother, Charles W. Pearson, Sr. of Tryon, NC; two sisters, Sophie Pearson Summers of Saluda, NC and Vera Pearson Bishop of Greenville, SC . Also surviving are 3 grandsons.Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 26, 2009 in the Episcopal Church of the Transfiguration in Saluda, NC with the Rev. Dr. Norma Hanson officiating.A reception will follow the service at the church.In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Altar Guild of the Episcopal Church of the Transfiguration, P. O. Box 275, Saluda, NC 28773.
