Mill Spring, NC – Jess Adam Ledford, 47, of Mill Spring, NC passed away on Saturday, January 25, 2020. Jess is the son of Bill and Jan Ledford.  He grew up in Waterford, MI and graduated from Waterford Mott High School.  After high school, Jess attended Michigan State University and graduated from The Michigan State School of Packaging with a bachelor's degree. In 2006, Jess moved to Mill Spring, NC to join the family business. Jess never met a stranger and was always willing to lend a helping hand.  He was a mentor and role model for youth, some referred to him as "the only father they ever knew". Jess was an avid fisherman and you could often find him spending time on the lake. Surviving are his parents, Bill and Jan Ledford; two brothers, Todd Ledford and Scott Ledford (Melissa); a sister, Kelly McGowen and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at McFarland Funeral Chapel, 54 McFarland Drive, Tryon, NC on Thursday, January 30, 2020 from 6:30 p.m. to 7:45 p.m. A memorial service will follow the visitation at 8:00 p.m. officiated by Pastor Anton D.
