Jerry Preston Richards, Jr., 53, of Inman, SC passed away, Thursday morning, December 28, 2017 at his home.Born in Hendersonville, NC, he was the son of the Vera Elizabeth Frady Cartee of Campobello, SC and the late Jerry P. Richards, Sr. Jerry has been a resident of Inman for 10 years coming from Georgia. In the past, he had worked at the Woodfin Ridge Golf Course in Boiling Springs. He attended Restoration Church in Spartanburg.Surviving are three brothers, Jami Richards of Inman, SC, Tom J. Cartee of Chesnee, SC and Gaston L. Cartee of North Carolina; two sisters, Ann E. McGinley of Weaverville, NC and Melva C. Lively of Hendersonville, NC. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.A funeral will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, December 31, 2017 in the McFarland Funeral Chapel, Tryon, NC.The family will receive friends prior to the service Sunday from 1:00 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. at the funeral chapel.
