TRYON, NC -- Jean Lincoln Turner passed away Friday, April 27, 2007 at the age of 74 in Mary Black Hospital in Spartanburg, SC.Born in Kearny, NJ, she was the daughter of the late John V. and Winifred Shelton Lincoln. She moved to Tryon, NC in 2004 where she and her husband moved from Vermont. Mrs. Turner was of the Lutheran Faith.She is survived by her husband, Harold "Hal" E. Turner of the home; Daughters, Jo Anne White of Hopatcong, NJ, Lauri Johnson of Hickory, NC, Tammy McDowell of Orlando, FL, and sons, William White of Winchester, VA, Jeff Turner of Chandler, AZ, Brian Turner of Lake St. Louis, MO, and Rob Turner of San Diego, CA. Also surviving are 8 grandchildren. She will be remembered as the person that bonded two families together.Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 2, 2007 in the McFarland Funeral Chapel, Tryon, NC with Dr. Chris Osborn officiating.The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 am, Wednesday just prior to the service in the McFarland Funeral Chapel.
