Mill Spring, NC - Janice Newman Stacey, 51, of 624 Pea Ridge Road, Mill Spring, NC died Friday, January 19, 2007 in Elizabeth House in Hendersonville, NC. Born in Polk County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Vance and Ruth Burns Newman. She was a graduate of Polk Central High School, class of 1973 and was a member of Pea Ridge Baptist Church, Mill Spring, NC. Surviving are her husband, Loren Dane Stacey of the home, one daughter, Misty Williams of Polk County, NC, one son, Loren Ross Stacey of Mill Spring, NC and one brother, Roger Newman of Chesnee, SC. She was preceded in death by a brother Jerry Newman who died in 1999. Funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Monday January 22, 2007 in Pea Ridge Baptist Church, Mill Spring, NC with Rev. John Edwards officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. Sunday, January 21, 2007 in the McFarland Funeral Chapel, Tryon, NC. At other time the family will be at the home, 624 Pea Ridge Road, Mill Spring, NC. The body will be placed in the church at 1:30 pm Monday.
