Janet Lynn Green, 66, of Columbus, NC passed away on July 15, 2026 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.

Janet was the daughter of the late Guynell and Arvilla Smith. She was a respiratory therapist and previously worked at Spartanburg Regional for over 20 years. She was a loving wife and mother.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ricky Dean Green and a brother, Charles Smith.

Survivors include her son, Richard Dylan Green; five siblings, Benny Smith, Kent Smith, Steve Smith, Nancy Ridings and Peggy Smith, and a sister-in-law Patricia Foy.

A funeral will will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 22, 2026 at McFarland Funeral Chapel in Tryon, NC officiated by Rev. Eddie Duncan.

Burial will follow at Polk Memorial Gardens.

Family will speak to guest following the burial.
