COLUMBUS –
James Adelbert Windover, 83, of Columbus, passed away, Wednesday morning, August 14, 2024, at Tryon Estates Medical Facility in Columbus.
Born in Lowville, New York, he was the son of the late Leslie D. Windover and Esther Berrus Windover. Mr. Windover was a retired Master Sergeant in the United States Air Force. He and his wife, Violeta moved to Tryon Estates in 2016.
Surviving is his wife, Violeta Caramat Windover; one daughter, Cristina Windover of Bluemont, Virginia; two sisters, Jane Farney and Shirley Aucter of Lowville both of Lowville, New York; one brother, John Windover of Lowville, New York.
In keeping with Mr. Windover's wishes, no services are planned.
Mr. Windover will be laid to rest in Albert G. Horton, Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery in Suffolk, Virginia.
