James Aden Greene, 78, of Mill Spring died Sunday, April 5, 2015 at Willow Ridge Nursing Home.Born in Polk County, NC, he was the son of the late Aden and Annie Early Greene. Mr. Greene was a retired truck driver for Parton Lumber Company. He was a member of Big Level Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife, Sandra Murdock Greene, of the home; four sons, James Greene, Walter Greene, Aden Greene all of Rutherfordton, NC and Luke Greene of Charlotte, NC; one sister, Mildred Sain of Landrum, SC. Also surviving are nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Roger Greene.A funeral will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 8, 2015 in Big Level Baptist Church, Mill Spring, NC with Rev. Robert Orr officiating.Burial will be in the church cemetery.The body will placed in the church at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday.
