CAMPOBELLO, SC - James "Carl" Broome, 81, of John High Rd., Campobello, SC died Sunday evening, October 22, 2006 in Spartanburg Regional Medical Center, Spartanburg, SC. Born in Inman, SC, he was the son of the late Ira and Myrtle Ballenger Broome. He was a veteran having served in the US Navy during WW II. Mr. Broome was retired from M. Lowenstein in Inman, SC and he was of the Baptist faith. Surviving is his wife of 50 years, Violet Gosnell Broome; one sister Lucille Rippy of Inman, SC. Also several nieces and nephews. No services are planned. Memorials may be made to the American Legion, Post # 45, P. O. Box 627, Inman, SC 29349.
