Rock Hill, SC - James Pruitt Abrams, 90 of Rock Hill, SC died Sunday, May 30, 2010 in Richard M. Campbell Veterans Nursing Home in Anderson, SC.Mr. Abrams was born November 8, 1919. He was the son of the late James C and Kate Pruitt Abrams of Whitmire, SC. He was a graduate of Clemson University and worked in the Textiles Industry for 40 years with J. P. Stevens and The Kendall Co. He served Four years in the Army Air Force during WW II. He was of the Baptist faith. Surviving is his wife, Virginia Green Abrams, one son, John Pruitt Abrams and wife Debbie of Rutherfordton, NC three grandsons: John Jason Abrams and wife Elizabeth; James Carson Abrams and Laura Carpenter of Rutherfordton; Jordon Donovan Abrams and wife Beth of Hendersonville, NC; one great grandson, Jack Pruitt Abrams of Rutherfordton; one sister, Frances Abrams of Rutherfordton; several cousins in NC and Clemson, SC; one step granddaughter, Megan Metcalf of Rutherfordton; and a friend of the family and mother of the grandsons Joanne Carson, of Lake Lure, NC.Graveside services will be held Tuesday June, 1st at 2:30pm in Green Creek First Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor Mike Snelgrove Officiating.Pallbearers will be the three grandsons, Kathryn and Marc Ozburn and Martha Brown.In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to the Hospice of your choice.
