MILL SPRING, NC - Isabel "Itza" Davis Laughter, 72, of Mill Spring, NC passed away, Friday, November 21, 2014 as a result of an automobile accident that also claimed the life of her grandson, Nicholas Wade McGuire.Born in Polk County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Fred K. and Kathleen Burrell Davis. She worked as a caregiver for many years, did seamstress work for Tanner Corporation and also worked at Stonecutter Mills, Mill Spring, NC. She was of the Baptist faith.Surviving are one son, Walter "Charlie" Laughter of Green Creek, NC; two daughters, Kathy McNeilly of Forest City, NC, Julia Laughter of Mill Spring, NC; three brothers, Robert "Bob" Davis, Charles Davis and William "Bo" Davis; four sisters, Annie Raines, Ila Shook, Lillie Hudson and Eula Edwards; seven grandchildren, Joshua Burnett, Matthew McNeilly, Kaitlyn McNeilly, Bryson Laughter, Tyler Laughter, Clayton Burns and Taylor Laughter; five great-grandchildren, Jacob Burnett, Madison Burnett, McKenna Burnett, Ethan McNeilly, Karianne McNeilly.A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 26, 2014 in Beulah Baptist Church, Mill Spring, NC with Rev. Jerry Jackson and Dr. Joel Wright officiating.The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. in Beulah Baptist Church, Mill Spring, NC.Memorials may be made to Beulah Baptist Church, 123 Beulah Church Road, Tryon, NC 28782.
