Hendersonville, NC--Hubert was born on May 30, 1943, to Clyde and Marie-Rowe Elkins of Madison County, NC. On June 11, 1966, he married the love of his life and best friend Sheila Young. They had two daughters Jennifer Jones and Carla Elkins. They had two grandchildren Branden Jones and Brittany Britton. Hubert and Sheila loved spending time with family and friends and never met a stranger. After Shelia's passing in May 2018, Hubert focused on his children/grandchildren and maintaining the grounds at Upward Seventh-Day Adventist Church. Hubert loved working at the church as it kept him active and allowed him to visit with Sheila. Family was able to enjoy time with Hubert at the end of May for his birthday before his passing on June 5, 2022.A memorial service for Hubert will be held on Thursday, June 9th, 2022 at 6:00PM at Upward Seventh-Day Adventist Church 961 Upward Rd, Flat Rock NC 28731 with the Dr. Randy Tryon officiating.
