COLUMBUS, NC - Hazel Hewitt Teunion, 86, of LaurelHurst, Columbus, NC died Tuesday, July 3, 2007 in St. Luke's Hospital, Columbus, NC. Born in Oklahoma July 15, 1920, she moved with her family to Flint, MI. Hazel met her husband in Flint, and they married on November 23, 1939. They were married 64 years before Keith died in 2003. Hazel and Keith moved to Tryon, NC in l979 where they enjoyed 24 years of Tryon's beautiful surroundings. Hazel is survived by her sister, Peggy Ives of Davison, MI; Two nieces, Leslie Trimble (Richard) and Jessica Haqemeister (Neil) of Davison, MI and a nephew, Bob Teunion (Lois) of Swartz Creek, MI. Also surviving are two great nephews, Pat Hagemeister (Cari) of Burton, MI and Norm Scott Trimble (Jennifer) of Phoenix, AZ; a great niece, Jen Ricketts (Bill) of Tacoma, WA and two great-great nieces, Kylie Averill and Ashley Hagemiester of Burton, MI. She also leaves many wonderful friends who were always wiling to help her. No local services are planned.
