LAKE LURE,NC -- Frances Zeits, 89, of Lake Lure, NC passed away Sunday morning, October 14, 2012 in the Elizabeth House, Flat Rock, NC. Born in Ocala, FL, she was the daughter of the late Eric and Julia Meadows Collier. She had lived in Rutherford County, NC for the past 35 years and was a Member of the Eastern Star. Mrs. Zeits was a member of Bills Creek Baptist Church, Lake Lure, NC. Surviving are her husband of 27 years Arthur Zeits of the home; two sons, Benjamin Scofield (Charlene) of Suffolk, VA and David Scofield (Kim) of Ocala, FL; a sister, Hilda Goff of Winterpark, FL and a brother, Jack Collier (Gerry) of Arlington, GA. Also surviving are four grandchildren, Benjamin Collier Scofield, Justin Scofield, David Lee Scofield and Jennifer Harper and 4 great grandchildren. Services will be held at a later date.
