Obituary

Tryon N.C. - Harriet "Holly" Bacon Dingler, 94, of Laurel Drive, Tryon, NC, died Tuesday, December 12, 2006 at her home. Born in Brooklyn, NY, she was the daughter of the late Edward W. and Ida Fowler Bacon. Mrs. Dingler had lived in Tryon for the past 33 years, coming from Youngstown, NY. She was a member of the Tryon Garden Club, St. Luke's Auxillary, the Youngstown, NY Civic Guild and and a charter member of Youngstown Garden Club. Surviving are: a daughter, Gail D. Muir of Tryon, NC; two sons, Edward L. Dingler of Marion, VA and Jon F. Dingler (Kathy of Crete, IL. Also surviving are 8 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and 1 sister in law. Memorial services will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 15, 2006 in the Tryon Presbyterian Church with Rev. David Hosick and Dr. James McPherson officiating. Memorials may be made to: Hospice of the Carolina Foothills, 135 Forest Glen Drive, Columbus, NC 28722 or to the Tryon Garden Club, P.O. Box 242, Tryon, NC 28782.
