- Harold Louis Gathmann, 91, of Columbus, NC passed away on Wednesday, March 8, 2017.Born in Syracuse, NY, he was the son of the late Otto and Caroline Williams Gathmann. Harold proudly served his country in the U.S, Navy. In 1950, he married the love of his life, Anna Rosiczkowski Gathmann at the Erwin United Methodist Church in Syracuse, NY. Mr. Gathmann retired from SCM in 1984 and moved to Columbus, NC in 1985. He was known as a jack of all trades and enjoyed mechanical work.In addition to his wife Anna, he is survived by three sons, Thomas H. Gathmann of Monroe, WA, Peter L. Gathmann of Flemington, NJ, and David M. Gathmann of Churchville, NY, and one daughter, Lisa A. Gathmann of Columbus, NC.No services will be held.Memorials may be made to a charity of choice.
