Tallahassee, Florida - Gloria Jean Martens, of Bloomfield Hills, Michigan age 60 died Wednesday, August 1, 2007 at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital.She was born in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan and she was the daughter of the late Kenneth and Helen Martens. She started out as a Presbyterian and later on she found the way of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Throughout her religious journey she tried to find peace with her life, along with her relationship with God. Surviving two daughters and two sons, Elizabeth Suess, Cumming, Georgia, Vincent Christ, South Elgin, Illinois, Christopher Christ, Columbia, South Carolina Heather Christ, Gulfport, Florida; one sister, Karen Cowen, Bloomfield Hills, Michigan; and eight grandchildren, Angela Christ, South Elgin, Illinois, Michael and Jonathan Suess, Cumming, Georgia, Brandon, Damion, Ethan and Faden Christ, Columbia, South Carolina, and Zander Christ, Gulfport, Florida. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, August 9, 2007 in Polk Memorial Gardens, Columbus, N.C.
