FLAT ROCK, NC - Glenda Elizabeth O'Shields Rhodes, 73, of Flat Rock, NC passed away Thursday evening, September 3, 2015 at her home.Born in Spartanburg, SC, she was the daughter of the late Clyde and Ruby Elizabeth Dunn O'Shields. She retired from Bruce Drysdale Elementary School. She was a loving mother and grandmother and devoted her life to them. She loved her country music.Surviving are two sons, Scott Rhodes of Flat Rock, NC and Randy Rhodes of Flat Rock, NC; two daughters, Kelly Rhodes of Bryan, OH and Tracy Pace of Hendersonville, NC. Also surviving are seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.A funeral will be held at 6:00 p.m. Sunday, September 6, 2015 in the McFarland Funeral Chapel, Tryon, NC with Dr. Chris Osborn officiating.Memorials may be made to Four Season Hospice, 571 South Allen Road, Flat Rock, NC 28731.
