Obituary
Rutherfordton, NC-Gladys Moscoso Talley, 83, passed away on Sunday, November 24, 2024 at Hospice of the Carolina Foothills.
She was born in La Paz, Bolivia and was the daughter of Antionio Moscoso and Irma Moscoso. She moved to the United Sates at the age of 18. She spent many years working at McDonald's being in charge of children's birthday parties. She loved making children smile and during her retirement she spent time making necklaces for the children's shoebox ministry at church. Previously of the Catholic Faith, she was baptized into the Baptist Faith at the age of 80. She was a member of Adaville Baptist Church the last 10 years. Her biggest joy in life was being a mother and grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Chester Talley Sr.; three daughters, Vivian Fortenberry, Nila Koen, and Sara Koen; and a stepson Randy Griffin.
Surviving Chester Talley Jr. and wife Kim; daughter, Sophia Griffin; seven grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren and a sister, Irma Moscoso.
A funeral will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, November 27, 2024 at Adaville Baptist Church, 805 Oakland Rd, Spindale, NC 28160 officiated by Dr. Jeff Pate.
The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10:30 a.m. to 11:15 a.m.
A private burial will be held at a later date.
