TRYON, NC - Gerald "Jerry" Joseph Siddons, Jr., of Tryon, NC passed away Wednesday, October 1, 2014 in St. Luke's Hospital, Columbus, NC.Born in Harrisburg, PA, he was the son of the late Gerald Joseph Siddons, Sr. and Winifred Kane Siddons. Mr. Siddons was the Dean of Students at Berklee College of Music and Director of Scientific Computing at Dana Farber Cancer Institute in Boston, MA. He moved to Tryon, NC in 1991 and owned and operated Bird Mountain ABC and Wine Shop until 2007. Mr. Siddons was a Guardian Ad Litem in Polk County for five years.Surviving is his wife of twenty-six years, Carolyn Placak Nemrow; one son, Kenneth Siddons of Boston, MA; one sister, Ellen Siddons of Harrisburg, PA.At Mr. Siddons' request, no services are planned.Memorials may be made to Foothills Humane Society, 989 Little Mountain Road, Columbus, NC 28722.
