Tryon, NC - Georgia Screven Pack, 98, passed away on June 5, 2015 in her home.Born in 1916 in Polk County, NC, she was the daughter of the late James & Frances Cleveland Screven. She was the wife of the late Arthur Pack who passed away in 1989. Being raised on the Screven Plantation, she was known as a great homemaker, and she enjoyed tending to the family farm. Georgia was a supporter of all Alzheimer's charities. She loved her animals, especially her cats and dogs. She was a member of Tryon First Baptist Church.Surviving are: a son, Phillip Pack (Kathy) of Tryon, NC; a daughter, Frances McCain (Jimmy) of Tryon, NC; six grandchildren, and eleven great-grandchildren. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, Mickey Pack, a daughter, "Jennie" Pack Bradshaw, and a grandchild, Kim Pack.A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday June 8, 2015 in Polk Memorial Gardens with Dr. Jeff Harris officiating.Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Carolina Foothills, 130 Forest Glen Drive, Columbus, NC 28722
