TRYON, NC - George Peter Van Driessche, Jr., 54, of Tryon, NC passed away, Tuesday, April 21, 2015 in the Hospice House of the Carolina Foothills, Landrum, SC.Born in Copiague, NY, he was the son of George P. Van Driessche, Sr. and Audrey Antener Van Driessche of Orlando, FL.Mr. Van Driessche moved to Tryon in 2009 coming from Jackson, TN. He worked for Service Transport in Greer, SC as a mechanic.Surviving in addition to his parents is his wife of fifteen years, Candace Dalton Van Driessche; one brother, Arthur Van Driessche of Orlando, FL; seven sisters, Julienne Tompkins of Ocoee, FL, Nancy Schrock of Casselbery, FL, Yvonne Friszell of Tavares, FL, Jeanne Ertle of Winter Springs, FL, Renee Van Driessche of Clermont, FL, Marie Ball of Fredericksburg, VA and Audrey Van Driessche of Summerfield, FL.A private graveside service will be held.Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Carolina Foothills, 130 Forest Glen Drive, Columbus, NC 28722.
