George Robert Dimsdale, 58, of Columbus, passed away, January 22, 2022 at Hospice of the Carolina Foothills.Born in Tryon, he was the son of the late Robert Paul Dimsdale and Reva Marie Foster Dimsdale. George worked many years alongside his father at Habitat for Humanity building homes.Surviving are two sisters, Brenda Lee Cogburn of Marion and Rebecca Pace of Columbus; one brother, William N. Dimsdale.A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 5, 2022 at Tryon Second Baptist Church with Reverend John Williams officiating.Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Carolina Foothills, Post Office Box 336, Forest City, North Carolina 28043.
