Columbus, NC- Francis H. Corden (Frank), 85, died, Monday, August 15, 2016 in Laurel Woods Assisted Living, Columbus, NC, following an extended illness.Born July 6, 1931 in Waterbury, CT, he was the son of the late Henry and Katherine (Meagher) Corden. He was also preceded in death by his siblings, George and Catherine. Survivors include brothers: Edmund (Mary) and Bernard, three nieces: Mary, Ann, and Kathleen; and one great-nephew, Kevin.A rosary will be said the evening of Friday, August 19, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. in St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 180 Laurel Ave., Tryon, NC. A Traditional Latin Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, August 20, 2016 at St. John the Baptist Catholic church with Father Jason Barone officiating. Following the Mass, refreshments will be served in the Church Hall.Burial will be private at a later date.
