COLUMBUS, NC - Frances E. Malone, 79, of Columbus, NC died Wednesday, July 9, 2008 in the Brian Center in Brevard, NC. Born in Staten Island, NY, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Frances Sullivan Malone. She graduated from Grace Institute Business School in New York City and was employed by Manalapan Township, NJ for 13 years and then worked for New Jersey Turnpike for the next 13 years. She retired in 1990 and moved to North Carolina. Surviving are two sons, Thomas Vitomski of Columbus, NC and Michael Vitomski of Freehold, NJ; one daughter, Barbara Van Note of Costa Mesa, CA; one granddaughter, Jennifer Kowalczyk of Costa Mesa, CA and one grandson, Brian Kowalczyk of Seattle, WA; three brothers, Charles Malone of Florham Park, NJ, Raymond Malone of Columbus, NC and James Malone of Red Bank, NJ. No local services will be held. Ms. Malone will be sent to Higgins Memorial Home in Freehold, NJ for services and burial.
