Landrum, SC- Farrell Floyd Atkins passed away November 19, 2015 at his home. Born in Greenville County, SC, he was the son of the late Preston and Roxie Painter Atkins. A Native of Greenville County, Mr. Atkins love to fish, hunt, go camping and follow Nascar.Mr. Atkins is survived by two daughters, Janet Gosnell (Ray Sherbert) of Campobello and Teresa Dameron (Roy) of Landrum, SC; one son, Farrell D. Atkins, also of Landrum. Also surviving are two brothers, three sisters, four grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, and many nieces and nephews. Mr. Atkins also leaves behind the light of his life Rileigh and his beloved family dog Jasper. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 49 years Shirley Atkins, three brothers, a grandson Aaron Dameron, and great-grandson Preston Hutchins.A memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m., Friday, November 20, 2015 at McFarland Funeral Chapel, Tryon, NC, with Rev.Brannon Rev. Poore and Roy Dameron officiating.The family will receive friends prior to the service from 6:00 p.m. to 6:45 p.m.Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Carolina Foothills, 130 Forest Glen Drive, Columbus , NC 28722.
