Tryon, NC - Evelyn "Fats" Gosnell, of Tryon, NC died Sunday, March 15, 2009 in Autumn Care Nursing Center, Saluda, NC. Born December 29, 1915 in Greenville County, SC, she was the daughter of the late William Belton and Sarah Elizabeth Amanda Bridgeman Gosnell. She was the widow of Gene Gosnell who died in 1987. Before declining health, she attended Christian Fellowship Church in Columbus, NC. At the request of Mrs. Gosnell, a private graveside memorial service for love ones will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Carolina Foothills, 130 Forest Glen Drive, Columbus, NC 28722 in memory of Mrs. Gosnell. Love ones would like to express their appreciation for the love and care shown Mrs. Gosnell by the Nurses and Care Givers of Autumn Care of Saluda and Hospice of the Carolina Foothills.
