SALUDA, NC - Evelyn Davis Anderson, 71, of Warrior Mtn. Rd., Saluda, NC died Thursday, June 28, 2007 in Pardee Hospital, Hendersonville, NC. Born in Polk County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Newell and Emily Davis. Surviving is her husband, Philip Anderson of Baltimore, MD; two sons, Doug Anderson and Joe Anderson of Saluda, NC; one daughter, Cindy Jacobson of Baltimore, MD. Also surviving are 9 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Roland and Rondal Davis. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 30, 2007 in the McFarland Funeral Chapel, Tryon, NC with Rev. Henry Vegter officiating. Burial will be in Polk Memorial Gardens, Columbus, NC. Mrs. Anderson's body may be viewed Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the McFarland Funeral Chapel. The family will receive friends prior to the service Saturday from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. in the McFarland Funeral Chapel.
