COLUMBUS, NC - Eunice Gauchet Donovan, 83, of Columbus, NC passed away Saturday afternoon, May 23, 2009 in Spartanburg Regional Medical Center in Spartanburg, SC. Born in Buffalo, NY, she was the daughter of the late Leon and Hazel Steinman Gauchet and wife of the late Dr. John T. Donovan, Jr. who died in 1985. Before marriage, she worked as a Dental Hygienist. Mrs. Donovan was a founding member of the Junior League in Lockport, NY. She moved to Polk County in 1984. Surviving are a son, John T. Donovan, III of Columbia, SC; two daughters, Suzanne Donovan of Hershey, PA and Kathleen Donovan of Langhorne, PA. Also surviving are eight grandchildren. A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
