Hendersonville, NC--Jane S. Long, 93, of 334 Thompson Street, Hendersonville, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 17, at home with her family.Born in Morristown, New Jersey, Jane was the daughter of Charles A. Smith and Dorothy Cook Smith. She grew up in Hackettstown, New Jersey, graduated as salutatorian from Hackettstown High School, and earned a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Vermont, Class of 1949. She was a founding member of Saint Andrews Presbyterian Church in Taylors, South Carolina, and more recently an active member of the Congregational Church of Tryon, North Carolina.
