Eloise Dagner, 82, of Tryon North Carolina, passed away at White Oak Manor of Tryon on July 4, 2022. Eloise was born on October 14, 1939, to John and Enid Geigla of Towner, North Dakota. She married her husband Ron in Minot, and lived most of her life in North Dakota. During this time, she was a highly respected teacher for over 40 years. She earned her Master's Degree at Minot State University, which resulted in many years of educating students with specific learning disabilities. Eloise had a passion for encouraging all of her students to recognize their abilities, and refused to believe that any of them had disabilities. She was well loved by all in the education field.Travelling was something that Eloise loved to do, and as a result, spent much of her retirement travelling to places where her children had relocated. This included trips to Hawaii, California, Washington, Montana, and Florida. She also spent time living in Montana, California, and Florida during these years. Her final trip was to relocate to Tryon, North Carolina to be closer to family.Eloise will always be remembered for her incredible sense of humor, and her ability to turn anything into some type of party wherever she went. She was known for singing silly songs and playing her ukulele at many get togethers. Her grandchildren loved listening and singing along with her whenever they had the opportunity to spend time with her.In addition to her parents, Eloise was preceded in death by her husband Ron, her daughter Stacy, her grandson Matthew Bell, and her sister Harleen Frame. She leaves behind her daughter Jodi Bell (Russell), her son Scott (Paige), 4 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren.A celebration of Eloise's life will be held in the summer of 2023 at Lake Metigoshe in North Dakota, which was one of her favorite places she had lived during her life.
