Elizabeth Keever Powell, 84, of Mill Spring, NC passed away, Thursday morning, December 21, 2017 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.Born in Polk County, NC, she was the daughter of the late William Adolphus Brian and Willie Bell Keever Walker. Ms. Powell retired from Mayfair Mills in Spartanburg as a weaver. She loved flowers, gardening, cooking and sewing. Ms. Powell was a member of Grays Chapel United Methodist Church.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Shirley Houser and Jane Skipper; one brother, Alvin Walker; two step-brothers, Garland and Horace Walker.Surviving are one daughter, Susan McDade; one brother, Kenneth Walker (Brenda); two sisters, Nell Blanton (Hoyle) and Joyce McCraw (Clarence). Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews.The family will receive friends Friday evening, December 22, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in the McFarland Funeral Chapel.Services will be private.
