COLUMBUS, NC -- Elizabeth Atkins Morrow, 78, of 154 Atkins Lane, Columbus, NC, died Sunday, March 15, 2009 at her home.Born in Polk County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Clara Levi Atkins. Mrs. Morrow had lived most of her life in Rutherford County, NC and was a member of Midway Baptist Church in Columbus, NC.Surviving is one daughter, Linda Fay Johnson of Forest City, NC; three sons, Rick Morrow of Forest City, NC, Ronnie Morrow of Columbus, NC and Randy Morrow of Atlantic, VA; three sisters, Bill Taylor of Pineville, NC, Bertha Byers of Coopers Gap, NC, Polly Mecimore of Taylorsville, NC. Also surviving are 9 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers and one grandchild.Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 19, 2009 in the McFarland Funeral Chapel in Tryon, NC with Rev. Brent Frady and Rev. Gary Lockee officiating.Burial will be in Polk Memorial Gardens in Columbus, NC.The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 19, 2009 prior to the service in the McFarland Funeral Chapel in Tryon, NC.
