COLUMBUS, NC -- Elizabeth A. Johnson, 91, Columbus, NC, formerly of Richton Park, Illinois and Naples, Florida passed away on Friday, April 13, 2007 in Laurelwoods in Columbus, NC.She was born on February 3, 1916 in Catlin, Illinois the daughter of Charles E. and Elizabeth (Bailey) Leverich. She married Carl A. Johnson on August 8, 1937 who preceded her in death.Survivors include one son, Carl E. Johnson of Houston, Texas; one daughter, Linda and husband, John Martin of Rutherfordton, NC; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one sister, Mary Divan of Danville, Illinois; and numerous nieces and nephews.Mrs. Johnson will be buried in Illinois, and plans for a Memorial Service in North Carolina are incomplete at this time.In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to Hospice of the Carolina Foothills, 130 Forest Glen Dr., Columbus, NC 28722, who provided tender care for her in the recent years.
