Elizabeth T. BaileyColumbus, N.C. - Elizabeth Tower Bailey, 84, died Wednesday, August 2, 2006 in Tryon Estates Medical Facility, Columbus, NC. Born in Lewiston, NY she was the daughter of the late Ray C. and Mary Bell Morrill Tower. She was the widow of Dr. Robert Bailey who died in l995. Mrs. Bailey was the valedictorian of her high school graduation class and later graduated from the University of Michigan and interned at John Hopkins Medical Center. Mrs. Bailey was an active member of Tryon Crafts for many years. She was a member of the Tryon Presbyterian Church. There are no survivors. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. in the auditorium of Tryon Estates on Saturday, August 5, 2006 with Rev. Ralph Kuether officiating. Burial will be in Northridge Burial Grounds, Lockport, NY beside of her late husband. Memorials may be made to the Tryon Presbyterian Church, 430 Harmon Field Road, Tryon, NC 28782.
