HENDERSONVILLE –
Elfreida Baumberger Edens, 84, of Hendersonville, went home to be with the Lord, Tuesday morning, January 7, 2025.
A native of Henderson County, she was the daughter of the late Henry E. Baumberger and Lois Pace Baumberger and wife of the late Dr. Clarence Edens who passed away in 2002. Elfreida was a graduate of Flat Rock High School Class of 1957. Following graduation, she went onto to Blanton's Business College and later went to work for Harry Horton C.P.A. in Hendersonville. Later she went to work for Saluda Nursing Home (Autumn Care).
Elfreida was a member of Women for Constitutional Government, enjoyed traveling and loved socializing. She was a member of Green River Baptist Church in Tuxedo.
Surviving are three brothers, Edmond Baumberger (Betty) of Flat Rock, Julius Baumberger (Sandra) of Easley, South Carolina and Philip Baumberger (Sandy) of Saluda; one sister, Lina B. McAbee (Marshall) of Cosby, Tennessee; one stepson, Dr. Jan Edens of Fountain Inn, South Carolina. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews.
Memorial services have been resceduled for Saturday, January 18, 2025 at 2:00 p.m.
at Green River Baptist Church in Tuxedo with Reverend Seth Nichols officiating.
The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. at the church.
