Eleanor H. Klerk, 94, widow of Richard H. Klerk, died Friday, February 5, 2021 at LaurelWoods in Columbus, NC. Born in Queens County, NY, she was the daughter of the late William J. and Hermine Bentz Schickler. Mrs. Klerk was a good and beloved wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a secretary with Eastern Airlines in NY and a wonderful homemaker. She formerly attended Tryon United Methodist Church.Eleanor is survived by her bother, William J. Schickler of Sarasota, FL, sons, Richard H. Klerk, III and wife, Louise of Elizabethtown, IN, William J. Klerk and wife, Jullie of Tryon, NC, and Eric G. Klerk and wife, Valerie of Commerce, GA; a brother in law, Kenneth Klerk and a sister in law, Helen Klerk all of Centerport, NY; grandchildren, William J. Klerk, Jr., Alexander J. Klerk, Jonathan E. Klerk, and Jaclyn V. Klerk.Memorial services for family and friends will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, February 12, at McFarland Funeral Chapel,  officiated by Rev.
