Tryon, N.C. - Eileen Smith Day, 86, of Peniel Road, Tryon, NC died Tuesday, November 7, 2006 at her home. Born in Erlanger, KY she was the daughter of the late Jesse and Nellie Epperson Smith. She moved to North Carolina twenty-six years ago from Williamstown, KY and to Polk County, NC in 1999. She was a member of the Antioch Church of Christ, Corinth, KY. Surviving are one son; Tommy Lawrence of Williamstown, KY, two daughters; Tamera Dixon (Mike) of Tryon, NC and Linda Hughey (Steve) of Asheville, NC. Seven grandchildren, Carole, David, and Ricky Lawrence; Brandon Dixon and Candice Long; Jimma and Lindsey Wyatt; three step grandchildren, Cheryl Rathburn, Courtney and Jason Hughey. Also surviving are eight great grandchildren. Memorial service will be held 6:00 pm Friday, November 10, 2006 in the McFarland Funeral Chapel, Tryon, NC with Rev.
