-Edwin Hunt (Ted) Perkins died on July 28, 2018 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center in Spartanburg, SC. He was 77 years old.Ted was born on May 31, 1941 and was the son of the late Edwin R. Perkins and Doris P. Perkins.He is survived by his wife, Julie; his children, Tim and Amy and their families.Ted was a long time member of the Columbus Fire Department and a founding member of the Polk County Gun Club.A private burial will take place at his favorite spot on his property.Memorials may be made to the Polk County EMS Donations Fund, P.O. Box 308, Columbus, NC 28722 or to the Polk County First Responder Donations Fund P.O. Box 51 Columbus, NC 28722.
