Edward Grant Mills, 87, of Mill Spring passed away, Thursday afternoon, April 22, 2022 at Hospice of the Carolina Foothills in Forest City.A native and lifelong resident of Polk County, he was the son of the late Grant Mills and Emma Shehan Mills and husband of the late Elizabeth Ruff Mills who passed away in 2016. Ed retired from Hatch Mill after 44 years of service. Ed was of the Methodist faith.Surviving are two sons, Edward Dean Mills (Sandi) of Marshville and Terry Mills (Jill) of Mill Spring; two granddaughters, Sarah and Abby, who he loved very much; two cats, Sugar and Todd, which gave him great comfort in his later years.A graveside service will be held at 4:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 26, 2022 in Polk Memorial Gardens with Reverend Todd Fletcher officiating.
