COLUMBUS, NC - Edward Francis Buonaccorsi, 93, of Columbus, NC passed away Monday morning, March 25, 2013 in White Oak Manor of Tryon, NC.Born in Jersey City, NJ, he was the son of the late John and Lena DeCesare Buonaccorsi and husband of the late Rita Ernesta Buonaccorsi who passed away in 2005. Mr. Buonaccorsi was a veteran of WWII having served in the U.S. Air Force and a member of the VFW Post #10349 in Columbus, NC. He moved to Columbus, NC in 1994 coming from Stockton, NJ. Mr. Buonaccorsi was a member of the St. John's Catholic Church, Tryon, NC.Surviving is his daughter, Janet Smith (Lou) of Columbus, NC.A funeral mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 27, 2013 in the St. John's Catholic Church, Tryon, NC with Father John Eckert officiating.Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Carolina Foothills, 130 Forest Glen Drive, Columbus,, NC 28722.
