Obituary
Sunny View- Edith Ruff Gilbert, 85, of Sunny View went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 20, 2025.
Edith was the daughter of the late Edison Andrew and Florence Lawter Ruff. She was a member of Coopers Gap Baptist Church for many years. Edith was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Fred Gilbert, a sister, Glenda Jackson and a brother, Herman Ruff.
Surviving are two sons, Eddy Ruff (Lisa) of Sunny View, NC and Bruce Ruff of the home; five grandchildren, Daniel Ruff, Andrew Ruff, Keith Poteat, Tabitha Beard, and Russell Ruff, four great grandchildren, Katarina, Kaleigha, Cameron, Freya. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews and cousins.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 23, 2025 at Cooper's Gap Baptist Church Cemetery, with Reverend Brian Wilson officiating.
