Tryon, NC - James Edwin "Ed" Camp, 86, of 328 Scrivens Rd., Tryon, NC died Tuesday August 23, 2010 in Elgin, SC.Born in Spartanburg, SC he was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. H. T. Camp Sr. He was the widower of Emily Huntsinger Camp who died in 1989. A veteran of World War II serving in the Army, he retired from Bigelow Sanford, Landrum, SC after 20 years of service. He was a member of the Bryant Womack VFW, Mill Spring, NC and a member of the Pentecostal Holiness Church, Tryon, NC.Survivors include one daughter, Carolyn Coughman of Elgin, SC; one grandson Britt Fraser of Grass Valley, CA; one great grandson Josiah Fraser and one sister-in-law Georgia Pace (Bud) of Tryon, NC.Funeral Services will be held at 11:00am Saturday, August 28, 2010 at McFarland Funeral Chapel, Tryon, NC with Rev. Jimmy Camp and Pastor Arthur Campbell officiating.Burial will follow the service at Campobello Baptist Church Cemetery, Campobello, SC.The family will receive friends from 6:00pm to 7:30pm Friday, August 27, 2010.Memorials may be made to the Polk County Rescue Squad, P.
