Earl Gene "E.G" Fortenberry, 64, of the Sunnyview Community went to be with the Lord Wednesday, April 30, 2014, after a period of declining health.Left to cherish his memory is his wife Joyce of 42 years, one son Samuel Fortenberry (Tammy), one daughter Kenya Waters (Robbie Skipper); nine grandchildren: Karissa, Kameron, Kaiden, Jamie, Courtney, Callie, Kylee, Grayson and Rob. Also surviving are one brother, Leland (Paula) Fortenberry, three sisters Patricia (Ronnie) Lawson, Carolyn (Steve) Byers and Helen Tucker; as well as many nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his parents Earl and Ruby Fortenberry, one son, Robbie and two sisters Louise Fortenberry and Shirley Garland.Memorial Service will be held 11:00 am Saturday, May 3, 2014 in Coopers Cap Baptist Church, Mill Spring, NC with Rev.
