Columbus, N.C. - Dorothy H. Bell Westervelt of Tryon Estates, Columbus, NC, passed away Sunday, March 23, 2008 in St. Luke's Hospital, Columbus, NC. A native of Windsor, Ontario, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Annie Bell. She was the widow of David F. Westervel who died in 1996. She was a Sgt. In the Royal Canadian Air Force during World War II. She is survived by a niece, Shirley Cross-Leis of McGregor, Ontario and 5 great nieces & nephews, 7 great-great nieces and nephews and 5 great-great-great nieces and nephews. A foster daughter, Melita Lindsay of Columbus, NC and a foster son, Andrew Temple of McDonough, GA. No memorial service will be held.
