Saluda, NC- Doran Allen Johnson, 58, of Saluda, NC passed away on June 8, 2016.Doran was the son of the late George Allen Johnson and Rosa Lee Johnson. A native of Saluda, NC, he worked for General Electric in Hendersonville, NC for 25 years. Doran loved spending time on his front porch and engaging in long entertaining conversations with his friends and family, he enjoyed making others laugh. He also had a love for the outdoors, and would often spend time hunting, fishing, or working in his garden.In addition to his parents, Doran was preceded in death by three brothers: Thad Johnson, Teddy Johnson, and George Lee Johnson.Surviving is three children, Casey Johnson (Syrus), Molly Waldbillig (Zach), and Shatter Johnson; a sister, Kathy Johnson Hill (Billy); two grandchildren, Bailey Staton and Gavin Waldbillig; and a special cousin Linda Martin (Lee).A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 12, 2016 at McFarland Funeral Chapel in Tryon, NC with Reverend James Adcock officiating.
