Mill Spring, NC - Donovan Chase Bennett ("Chase"), 23, of Mill Spring, N.C. went to his Heavenly home on Dec. 23. He was the son of Kellee Klovach (Raymond) of Mill Spring and Chad Bennett (Melora) of Spruce Pine, N.C.In addition to his parents, he is survived by his brother, Zachary Bennett of Mill Spring; step-siblings, including Lilly Klovach of Columbus, N.C.; grandparents James and Marcia Dunn of Hendersonville, N.C., Dewey and Jackie Bennett of Green Mountain, N.C. and Fred and Ruthanne Klovach of Inverness, Fla.; as well as other close family and friends.Chase was a 2013 graduate of UNCW, where he received two bachelors and a minor. He was very passionate about environment protection. He loved his family and his friends, helping others and was also a great lover of animals. He lived his life by the Golden Rule, bible verse Matthew 7:12, "...in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you."A celebration of his life will be held Tuesday, Dec. 30 at 6 p.m. at Midway Baptist Church in Columbus, N.C. In lieu of flowers, family and friends are asked to please bring pet supplies to be donated to the humane society.
