Tryon, NC -- Donna Hesentine Shehan, 96, of 1127 John Shehan Rd., Tryon, NC, died Thursday, January 18, 2007 in White Oak Manor in Tryon, NC.Born in Rutherford County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Riley and Ally Beatrice Doty Pittman. She was the widow of Link Shehan who died in 1988 and she was the oldest member of Beulah Baptist Church.Surviving are four sons, John Franklin Shehan and wife Evelyn of Inman, SC, Will "Bit" Shehan and wife Billie of Spartanburg, SC, Bobby Kenneth Shehan and wife Erselle of Landrum, SC, and Charles Grady Shehan and wife Angie of Mill Spring, NC. One daughter, Jeanette A. Pittman and husband Charley of Mill Spring, NC. A beloved son-in-law Drury Wood and wife Vivian. Surviving are 13 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son Albert Lee Shehan and a daughter Betty Lou Wood. Also several nieces, nephews and many friends. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, January 20, 2007 in Beulah Baptist Church in Tryon, NC with Rev. Charles Hall and Rev. Johnny Yarboro officiating. Burial will be in Beulah Baptist Church Cemetery.The family will receive friends from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm Friday in the McFarland Funeral Chapel in Tryon, NC.The family will be at the home of Charles Shehan of 1127 John Shehan Rd., Tryon, NC.
